How we work
Nicola and Glyn work as a team; Glyn shoots the main ceremony, interacts with the guests and choreographs the group images. Nicola is responsible for capturing all of the reportage shots during the main shoot and the fashion shoot after the wedding ceremony.
Nicola works closely with the Bride and Groom capturing emotions, as vows and rings are exchanged at the alter, whilst Glyn remains to the rear of the venue in order to capture beautiful images of the bride's dress as she walks down the aisle.
Photographs are taken throughout the ceremony, usually without flash. This is standard practice so as not to detract attention from the proceedings.
After the ceremony both Glyn and Nicola will take the group shots requested by you. These images will have been agreed at a previous informal meeting over coffee.
Following the formal ceremony, whilst Glyn orchestrates various group photographs, Nicola discreetly moves amongst the guests capturing genuine emotions of the day; the bride receiving hugs and kisses from her friends, bridesmaids throwing confetti at each other, the bride's mother wiping a tear from her eye. These are the images that define the Shakespeare style. The ability to capture the right shot at the right time turns these all-to-fleeting moments into everlasting memories.
After you have 'mingled' with your guests, it is then time for your photographs, as a newly married couple. The grounds or main building of your venue are used to create wonderful works of both contemporary and traditional photographic art. It is these natural shots that will become some of your most treasured memories.
Capturing genuine emotion on camera is a very difficult, yet ultimately rewarding experience. We are always deeply honoured to be asked to photograph the most important day of peoples' lives and endeavour to make the experience wholly enjoyable. We promise you an exceptional photographic album which will delight for many years to come.
